Acrylic thickeners for waterborne grab adhesives

Evaluation of various acrylic thickeners performances in a typical grab adhesive based on a styrene acrylic binder

• Viscoatex™ 730 is the most efficient in terms of viscosity build providing high body and structure at rest. It is for now the best option for grab adhesives
• Rheotech™ 146 is providing less body and less structure in this system. Due to its creamy aspect and structure, it is not recommended for such application
